1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how ECONSTART LLC (“ECONSTART,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Ride2Link mobile application, website, booking pages, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Ride2Link is a Direct Driver Relationship Platform that helps transportation professionals build, manage, and maintain direct relationships with their clients. Ride2Link is not a transportation provider, dispatcher, or marketplace matching strangers.
This policy applies to registered drivers and other users of the mobile app, as well as clients who submit booking requests through a driver's public booking page without creating an account.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you provide a phone number in your profile or through account settings, we store that as well.
- Driver profile data: vehicle information, service specialties, languages, profile photo, trust indicators, and other information you choose to display on your public booking profile.
- Location data: GPS coordinates while the app is in use and you have granted location permission, including your most recent coordinates stored to support proximity-based safety alerts when you enable notifications.
- Push notification identifiers: device push tokens registered when you opt in to notifications, used solely to deliver Service-related alerts.
- Voice messages: audio recordings you transmit through voice channels.
- Receipt images and expense data: photos and metadata you upload to your private receipt vault.
- Earnings and mileage data: shift records, mileage logs, and related business tracking information you enter or generate through the Service.
- Booking request data: client name, phone number, scheduling details, pickup and destination information, fare selections, and notes associated with direct booking requests submitted through a driver's booking page.
- Client communication consent: confirmation that a client agreed to be contacted by their driver about a specific scheduled ride at the time of booking.
- Usage data and analytics: in-app event data (such as feature usage and activation milestones), device platform, app version, and optional diagnostic information described in Section 9.
- Support communications: information you provide when contacting us through in-app support chat, including your name, email address, and message content.
- User-generated content: map alerts, voice channel activity, and other content you submit through the Service.
We do not collect payment card numbers or full bank account details on Ride2Link servers. Card payments and bank onboarding are handled directly by Stripe, as described in Sections 4 and 10.
3. How We Use Data
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Authenticate users and secure accounts;
- Connect drivers with clients who have voluntarily established a direct relationship;
- Facilitate booking requests, scheduling, ride payments, and communication tools;
- Calculate mileage summaries and support tax-related recordkeeping features;
- Display driver profiles on public booking pages at your direction;
- Deliver push notifications you have opted into, such as booking requests and nearby alerts;
- Monitor safety, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Diagnose crashes and performance issues to improve app stability;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
- Analyze aggregated usage trends to improve platform performance and reliability.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal information with advertising networks for targeted advertising purposes. We do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy:
- Supabase — authentication, database hosting, file storage, and real-time infrastructure;
- Stripe — subscription billing, ride payment processing, and Stripe Connect driver payout onboarding (see Section 10);
- Expo — mobile application distribution, over-the-air updates, and push notification delivery infrastructure;
- Sentry — anonymous crash reports and performance diagnostics (see Section 9);
- Crisp — in-app customer support chat when you contact us for help.
When you submit a booking request on a driver's public page, your contact and trip details are shared with that driver so they can fulfill the request. Drivers are independent professionals responsible for their own use of client information outside the Service.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale with appropriate notice where required.
5. Voice Messages
Voice messages are stored temporarily and expire automatically. Standard driver channels retain messages for up to 24 hours; the Driver Lounge channel retains messages for up to 72 hours, after which they are no longer accessible through the app.
Voice channel content is accessible to authenticated drivers within the applicable channel. Do not transmit payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive personal information through voice messages.
6. Location Data
We collect location data only while the app is in the foreground and you have granted location permission. We do not request background location access. Location may be used to display map features, community alerts, shift mileage tracking, and proximity notifications.
If you enable push notifications, we may store your most recent coordinates to determine whether you are near a reported alert. This stored location is used only for Service notifications and is not sold or used for advertising.
For certain sensitive alert categories (such as checkpoint reports), approximate coordinates may be obfuscated before display to other users. Location data is never sold and is never shared with advertisers.
7. Push Notifications
Push notifications are optional. If you grant notification permission, we register a device push token with our infrastructure providers so we can deliver alerts such as new booking requests, nearby road reports, reservation sharing offers, and voice channel activity relevant to your work.
You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications does not delete your account or other Service data.
8. Client Communication Consent
Clients who submit a booking request through a driver's public page must confirm that they agree to be contacted by that driver by phone or text (including SMS) about the specific scheduled ride. This consent is limited to communications about that booking and is not marketing consent for unrelated messages.
Clients who wish to stop receiving further communications from a driver should contact that driver directly or email privacy@ride2link.com with the driver name and booking details. We will assist in forwarding opt-out requests where appropriate.
9. Crash Reporting and Diagnostics
We use Sentry (sentry.io) to collect crash reports and limited performance data so we can improve app stability. This may include device model, operating system version, app version, and stack traces captured when an error occurs.
Sentry data is used solely for debugging and reliability. It is not used for advertising or sold to third parties. Crash reports are not linked to your name, email, or phone number. We do not intentionally send client booking details or payment information to Sentry.
Crash reporting is enabled only in production app builds where configured. It is disabled during local development.
10. Bank Account Information and Payouts
When you connect a bank account to receive payments for rides, your banking information is collected and stored directly by Stripe (stripe.com) through their hosted Connect onboarding flow. Ride2Link never sees, stores, or has access to your bank account number, routing number, or other financial credentials entered during onboarding.
We store only the Stripe Connect account identifier (acct_…) returned by Stripe, along with onboarding status flags (such as whether charges and payouts are enabled). We use this identifier to route ride payments to the correct connected account.
Stripe's handling of financial data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Ride2Link is not a bank or money transmitter; payment processing services are provided by Stripe.
11. Partner Programs & Savings
Partner offers, discounts, savings estimates, and promotional benefits displayed in the app are informational only and may change without notice. Displaying a partner offer does not share your personal data with that partner unless you independently choose to contact them.
12. Trust & Verification
Verification badges and trust indicators are provided for informational purposes and should not be interpreted as guarantees of performance, safety, licensing status, insurance coverage, or legal compliance.
13. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS);
- Encryption at rest for data stored with our infrastructure providers;
- Supabase Row Level Security policies limiting access to user-owned records;
- Access controls for administrative systems;
- Server-side validation for payments, payouts, and account deletion.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Report suspected security issues to privacy@ride2link.com.
14. International Users
Ride2Link is operated from the United States and is intended primarily for professional drivers working in the New York City area. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States.
15. User Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain data we hold about you.
Registered drivers can delete their account directly from the Profile screen in the mobile app. Account deletion cancels active Stripe subscriptions, deactivates your booking profile, removes uploaded files (such as avatars and receipts), and permanently deletes your authentication record.
To request access, correction, export, or deletion of data not available in the app — or to submit a request on behalf of a client who booked without an account — contact privacy@ride2link.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days, subject to applicable law. Certain records (such as payment and tax-related data) may be retained longer where required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under California law.
16. Data Retention
- Account data: retained until you delete your account or we no longer need it to provide the Service;
- Booking request data: retained as long as needed for the driver to manage the ride and resolve disputes, then deleted or anonymized according to operational needs;
- Earnings and tax-related records: retained for up to 7 years where required for recordkeeping and compliance purposes;
- Voice messages: automatically expire after 24 hours (standard channels) or 72 hours (Driver Lounge);
- Analytics events: retained in aggregated form for product measurement; when an account is deleted, associated event records are de-identified;
- Crash diagnostics: retained by Sentry according to their platform retention settings, typically on the order of weeks to months.
17. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@ride2link.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
18. Changes to Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and/or in-app notification before the changes take effect where practicable. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
